The Judges of Iron Player have all either competed in Iron Dungeon Master, won Iron Dungeon Master or are so damn good they have just taken the moniker of an Iron Dungeon Master all Star.  We currently have six Dungeon Masters involved in the tournament and are always looking for more qualified Dungeon Masters.

Dreads

The dreadlockd DM lives to make people happen through word.  He's been writing since he first sat at a computer in the fourth grade and someone showed him where the Apple 2 was. He has wrote several short stories, edited a dozens of Dungeons and Dragons supplements and contributed writings to several major RPG Campaign Books.

He's also an amateur game designer, with two prototype board games he's looking to bring to market by 2012. As a DM, he has run 6 campaigns that average 1 to 3 years.  He is the only 2 time-winner of the Iron Dungeon Master competition and lead designer and editor of the Ironplayer Champship.  His marketing and writing career in real life has led him to plan many events, so doing most of the logistical and editing legwork for the tournament felt real natural.

Along with RPGs, Dreads is an avid Board Game collector, with over 200 board games, mostly european strategy games.

Jay’s love affair with fantasy began at an early age when his father brought him to the local Renaissance Faire and introduced him to such movies as Excalibur and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. From there he took up an impressive Lego Castle collection, but something was always missing. He and his friends began reading fantasy literature and discovered the board game “Hero Quest.” Having no one to introduce them to D&D, the friends learned of this hidden wonder in the back shelves of a comic book store and happily taught themselves and dived right in to 2nd edition. As a player, Jay has feigned his thief’s innocence by pickpocket a truth-detection stone, reversing the enchantment, and replacing it before the trial. His wizard took out a red dragon by dropping a Leomund’s Secure Shelter on it (there’s a range, but it doesn’t say “on the ground”). And his ninja once took out half a thieves guild by sabotaging the dock they were standing on. As a DM, Jay has created a world full and ancient wonder, and vibrant characters and he is a two-time Iron DM competitor. He is happy to bring his brand of gaming to you. ^_^. In 2008 Jay won his first Iron Dungeon Master Tournament.
