Iron Player 2009 Winners PDF Print E-mail

Blame Iron DM Dreads for such a Late update.  My apologies to the winners, but real life took a front seat for a bit.  However, now things are back rolling and we want to congratulate all of the players and the winners.  It was an extraordinary tournament, some groups did great, and some groups did just ok, but only one group did Iron.

Our Iron Player this year, the Player that destroyed the adventure, that nearly single handedly saved the world from utter destruction to the hands of the Zerstorer, "Marcus Groenig. His team member, Mork, came in Second. The third place winner came from the Rape the Garden of Internal Delights Team" Dave Silver.  These players were the first to receive Official Pathfinder Core Rulebooks from Paizo.

The top two scores came out of the winning group.  Congratulations to the Wings of Glory, the winning Iron Team that consisted of Linda Palmer, Max Emmerling, Josch Pavelko, Amber Veck , Mork, Marcus Gerving and Jaron.  All of those winner received a prize pack from Alea Tools and the 4 non-winning players received gift certificates from DriveThruRPG.

The story involved the PCs representing three different factions, Eagleknights, Harbringers and Hellknights.  Each group attempting to manipulate the impending destruction of Golarion.  The Eagleknights a were trying to stop it, the Harbringers were trying to bring it forth and the Hellknights wanted to capture its power.  In the end, All three groups managed to be victorius with their final mission, creating a situation where the Harbringers managed to by enough time to destroy Absolam, HOwever the Eagleknights managed to kill the creature in time before it wiped out the whole world.  The Harbringers captured the Soul of the Zerstorer.

After the great explosion and the smoke cleared, a great ivorny pyamid now has replaced the Island Nation. A single figure, cloaked in white light, stepped out of the pyramid and claimed "The Harbringer is here".

2009, Collateral Apocolypse: StarStone, was only the first chapter in what should be a great triology of adventures the Iron Player Tournament.  2010 brings us the second chapter, which, was partially inspired by the winning group.  I can't say much now, but the Designer Journals will start soon and will continue until the tournament.  See you next year.
